Former Texaco Site

Bayonne, Hudson County, NJ

IDA Power operated as the General Contractor managing all environmental, regulatory, and construction aspects related to this approximately 60-acre site. IDA Power was responsible for subsurface improvements that included preparing for and performing deep dynamic compaction across 37-acres of the site. IDA Power was responsible for the importation (via barge and truck), placement, and compaction of 1.2-million tons of fill material across the site with weekly site surveys performed by our in-house team.

IDA Power controlled the placement and compaction of fill material in order to meet the geotechnical specifications required for development. The compacted fill material also served as a remedial cap and was designed to improve the site to final development grades. On this complex industrial property related responsibilities included drafting submittals and gaining approvals for all fill material including beneficial use of fill material placed on site.
